(Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for the Tuesday, November 5 episode of Danger!)

Greg Jolina systems specialist and accountant from Raymond, New Hampshire, participated in a three-day championship with total winnings of $75,002. Having scored 3/3 on Final Jeopardy, he has become a “model of consistency”, as Ken Jennings he has taken to saying. He faced off against Chuck Rea, a software engineering director from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Priscilla Gruenewald, a retired writer and editor from Nipomo, California.

Endangered! round, Jolin took the lead with $9,800 (and a $3,000 Daily Double), while Gruenewald finished with $800 and Rea with $2,800. In Double Jeopardy, Jolin made the memorable move of the game. With $16,000 at the time, he bet $10,000 even on the second Daily Double. “Oh wow, that’s a big bet!” Jennings commented. The clue for “ANIMALS ON THE MAP” was: “This city in Erie County is the home of the Nickel City Opera. He did it like “Buffalo” and from there the game was over.

On Final Jeopardy, Jolin came out on top with a dazzling $30,200, while Rea had $7,400 (winning the final Daily Double) and Gruenewald $6,000; Respectable scores but nowhere near the champion.

The “ORIGINS OF THE PHRASE” clue was: “In 1935, an article popularized this term for the part of the U.S. where residents “depended on the rain.” Everyone was right about “The Dust Bowl.” Jolin, maintaining his impeccable record on Final Jeopardy, emerged as the four-day champion with a staggering total of $35,400 and $110,402.

Fans flooded social media, applauding Jolin, who appears to be transforming into a major powerhouse, but feeling frustrated that the quiz show didn’t find a solution for election night and the two players who were alone.

In the episode’s Reddit thread, one fan wrote, “My deepest condolences to Priscilla Gruenwald and Chuck Rea, who probably won’t be able to throw parties to celebrate being on Jeopardy.”

“I’m curious what percentage won’t see the episode happen to something else in the US. I’m one of them…” wrote another.

A quarter commented: “Just over half (108 of 209) stations, representing just over half (53.6%) of all households.”

For those still looking to obtain their Danger! fix it, there are some options. People without cable can watch the game with a youtube television either Hulu+ Live TV subscription. People with cable can check local listings to see when and where the game is broadcast. here.

Other fans in the thread focused on the game and had positive opinions to share: “Greg was very impressive. Probably my favorite contestant this season because she has the guts to do it on DD,” wrote a fifth.

“It’s a shame so many are deprived of the line ‘we won’t have time to finish off Mary, Queen of Scots, like the hangman did,'” joked a sixth of a Jennings joke about an uncovered clue.

“Brave bet of 10,000 DD,” wrote a seventh. “It’s just a good strategy. It is a second row track. Greg would still have the advantage if he lost time to rebuild. If you do it right, you’ll be close to finishing. “It just makes sense.”

Jolin chimed in on the thread to share why he felt so confident betting: “Plus, it’s a very well set second row track. “Animals on the map” severely restricts the possible response space.”

Danger! has made sure fans don’t miss election night in the past. During the 2022 Tournament of Champions (which aired during the midterm elections), producers created that instant classic “Exhibition Game” with Mattea Roach, Matt Amodio and Amy Schneider (and a cursing Jennings). This time, no dice!
