Philip Howell, from the Strathfoyle area, died on November 6.

McLaughlin Funeral Directors posted that he was the beloved son of Doris, beloved partner of Julie, dear brother of Sharon, Jane, Sarah and Megan. Loving uncle to Sean, Kevin, Dylan, Ryan, Sara, Callum, Kyle and Mason.

His viewing and funeral arrangements will be posted later when available.

Dozens of people shared their condolences, including Strathfoyle Community Association.

Tributes also appeared online from friends and family.

One said: “Our hearts will be broken forever. RIP brother until we meet again.”

Another woman added: “What a healthy and decent guy… fond memories of our time in St Brecans… RIP Howelly… our thoughts and prayers are with you, Sharon and the whole family circle.”

While another post said: “I am so sorry to see this sad news. Sending our deepest condolences to Doris, her partner and the entire family circle.

“May he rest in eternal peace.”
