WAYNE COUNTY, Michigan. – We’re taking a look at how Metro Detroit voted for president in the November 5, 2024 general election.

The city of Detroit voted overwhelmingly for Kamala Harris. 221,629 total votes for the Harris-Walz ticket compared to just 19,667 for Donald Trump. Voter turnout in Detroit was 47.17%: 246,303 total votes out of 524,562 registered voters.

Overall, Wayne County was a definite vote for Harris: 62.7% of the vote. That’s 536,581 votes for the Democratic ticket in Wayne County.

In Oakland County, Harris won with 56.3% of the vote: 419,121 total votes for the Democrat.

Macomb County was the only member of the tri-county region to vote red: 55.9% of the votes came from Trump in Macomb County. A total of 284,639 votes went to the Republican in Macomb County.
