Unofficial Sherburne County election results updated after some absentee votes were not counted

Unofficial election results for Sherburne County have been updated after some absentee votes were not counted on election night.

Sherburne County elections staff discovered that some absentee ballots received by mail were not included in the unofficial totals uploaded to the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Office.

Updated unofficial results have now been uploaded for all county races and are available at Secretary of State website.

“That is why election results are not official until all tabulations and totals are verified and duplicated.
“The election results are verified and the Canvassing Board meets and certifies,” the county said.
