Kate Middleton’s ex-roommate shares unseen photo from college party

Kate Middleton’s college roommate shared a never-before-seen photo of her and the future queen.

Laura Warshauer, who roomed with the future Princess of Wales at St. Salvator’s Hall during her first year at St. Andrews University in Scotland in 2001 (the same residence where Prince William lived that year) posted the photo of her with Kate in instagram in July, although it is only now circulating online.

In the photo taken at a party William and Kate hosted at their off-campus Hope St. home, which they moved into during their sophomore year at St. Andrews with two other friends, Fergus Boyd and Olivia Bleasdale, Kate and her former roommate smiles as you enjoy a sweet treat: brownie bites.

“Sending love to Kate Middleton, the future queen of England and my college roommate!” Warshauer captioned the photo. “It was us at a party in an apartment on Hope Street. “I have the most beautiful college memories with Kate.”

“She is the kindest, most thoughtful, most down-to-earth, most genuine person, and it’s incredible to see her shine so brightly and inspire the world with her compassion and courage,” Warshauer added.

William and Kate graduated from St. Andrews in 2005.

Posted on July 18, Warshauer shared the photo four months after the princess revealed to the world that she had cancer in a video released on March 22. The royal was diagnosed after having a abdominal surgery planned in Januarywhich led doctors to discover cancer. He then began preventive chemotherapy treatment and was absent from private life until his announcement in March, sparking countless conspiracy theories about his absence.

Warshauer, now a singer-songwriter, also posted the photo on the same day Kate shared a series of instagram stories, expressing support for the Natural History Museum in London, indicating that he was slowly returning to some of his royal duties from which he had stepped away to focus on his battle against cancer.

The party photo also arrived just four days later. Kate caused a sensation at Wimbledonreceiving a standing ovation as he took center court for the men’s final.

Kate announced had completed chemotherapy on September 9declaring that he was “cancer free.” she has done it since returned to workgradually taking on official royal engagements once again. He is expected to make a public appearance at The Cenotaph war memorial in London on November 10 to mark Remembrance Day.

Warshauer previously opened up about his college friendship with William and Kate after the couple got engaged in 2010. “I remember the first time I met Kate and I thought, ‘Wow,'” he said. People At the moment. “She just had a lovely attitude.”

Of Prince William, Warshauer said: “When he was around, it wasn’t like there was all this pomp and circumstance. “I could literally walk like a normal guy and people didn’t think much of it.”

“There was applause and she was wearing this cool black off-the-shoulder shirt,” Warshauer recalled. “She is down to earth and that sense of calm is reflected in the way she carries herself and the way she graciously reached out and accepted this award.”

“She’s obviously stunning, but she doesn’t act in any way like, ‘Oh, I’m a wonderful person.’ Kate was just genuine. And I don’t feel like she’s ever going to change.”

To commemorate their wedding, Warshauer wrote a song for the couple titled “To Will and Kate, Meet Me at Exit 109.”

Warshauer is no longer in contact with royalty, but he still cherishes the memories he shared with them. “There was so much innocence in it,” he said. People in 2011. “I look at my photographs and I can see the romance and the magic.”
