Cardinals and FanDuel Sports Network reach agreement

STREET. LOUIS, Mo. (KFVS) – Diamond Sports Group and the St. Louis Cardinals have reached a new multi-year agreement.

According to a Cardinals press release sent out on Thursday, November 7, the deal is for linear and digital rights.

“We are pleased to enhance and expand our long-term partnership with Diamond and FanDuel Sports Network Midwest,” said Cardinals President Bill DeWitt II. “We value the continuity for our fans of staying on the same network as the Blues, and we are excited that we will now be able to expand access to our games and other great Cardinals content across multiple platforms next year.”

Under the agreement, FanDuel Sports Network Midwest will continue to be the home of the Cardinals, broadcasting all non-exclusively nationally televised games, as well as pre- and post-game shows and original programming.

“We are excited to deepen our relationship with the Cardinals and expand our reach by offering games to fans via DTC,” said Diamond CEO David Preschlack. “As we move toward emerging from bankruptcy, we remain committed to providing fans in the Midwest with high-quality broadcasts across our linear and digital offerings and meeting fans where they are. in the evolving audience model.

According to the release, for the first time, direct-to-consumer FanDuel Sports subscribers will have access to games across Cardinals TV’s extensive territory.

Additionally, customers will be able to stream games and other programming on the network’s app by authenticating with their pay TV credentials.
