BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – Two nonprofit organizations are helping people who need a car or a home in Buncombe County.

working wheels Help provide used cars to those in need or offer free car repairs. You are helping people who may be in need after Helene flooded and damaged hundreds of vehicles. The nonprofit also requests donated cars.

Habitat for humanity has helped three families get homes from Helene. The nonprofit is accepting more applications for those in need, but also needs volunteers for its location in the Asheville region.
