Hyderabad: Telangana State Legal Services Authority topped the National Lok Adalat with a record number of cases resolved and compensation to victims. National Legal Services Day is celebrated on November 9.

In resolving cases in the second and third National Lok Adalats, Telangana State Legal Services Authority secured the number one position in the country, besides providing compensation payment services to litigants.

National Lok Adalats are held four times a year in all states and union territories with an objective to reduce the burden on courts and provide speedy justice to litigants. Pre-litigation cases and cases pending civil and criminal resolution are also resolved here.

Lok Adalats also resolve non-court cases/pre-litigation cases, Aggravated Criminal Offenses, Traffic Challenges, Income Cases, Bank Recovery Cases, Motor Accident Claims, Returned Check Cases, Labor Disputes, Matrimonial Disputes excluding divorce cases, land. acquisition cases and consumer matters.
