He Boston Bruins They have played much better since occupying the top line, looking much more dangerous and creating tons of scoring opportunities.

Despite generating 18 expected goals in the last five games, the Bruins have only scored seven times. Perhaps most surprising is that they created 62 high-danger opportunities in that span. Only two ended up in the back of the net.

No one in the NHL has scored with a lower shooting percentage than Boston (5.26%) in that span. That number will increase significantly sooner rather than later, especially if they continue to create opportunities like they have.

In terms of individuals, key weapons such as Nazem Kadri, Michael Backlund, Andrei Kuzmenkoand Rasmus Andersson They combined for 45 scoring opportunities and ZERO ended up in the back of the net. That’s not going to last.

The Bruins haven’t gotten good goaltending this season. They own a team save percentage of .884, good for 24th in the NHL.

Joonas Korpisalo hasn’t fared much better, allowing more than three goals every 60 minutes played.

Yegor Sharangovich It is a kind of regression work. He had a big year with the Flames in 2023-24, producing 31 goals and 59 points in 82 games.

Sharangovich is too talented to remain so quiet, especially given his workload. He’s centering Jonathan Huberdeau, who leads Flames forwards in points, at 5-on-5 and also skating on the top power-play unit.

He has logged at least 17 minutes in five of six games played. Last year, Sharangovich scored at a 63% clip when playing more than 17 minutes.

If this game surpasses the number, Sharangovich will likely give his opinion.

Kadri is also worth buying cheaply. He scored in 65% of his games last season, but has done so at a rate of 38%.

This is a good place to get you back on track. Boston takes a lot of penalties, compounding their goaltending woes. No NHL team has spent more time without personnel this season.

Kadri plays a prominent role at 5v5 and shares the ice with Sharangovich on the top power play unit. It is very possible that they will hit the same target and kill two birds with one stone.
