    Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash in Warwick

    WARWICK – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash Wednesday night, according to the warwick police.

    The collision between a motorcycle and a car occurred around 4:50 p.m. West Shore Road and Moccasin Drivethe police said.

    When police arrived, they found motorcyclist Xander Bellini, 21, of Warwick in the road with injuries to his face and upper body, police said.

    Bellini had been operating in the right eastbound lane on West Shore Road when his Suzuki GSX 1300 motorcycle collided with the passenger side of a Toyota Camry that was turning left onto Moccasin Drive from the westbound lane of West Shore Road. , the police said.

    Bellini and the driver of the Camry, Cynthia Morse, 61, of Warwick, were taken to Rhode Island Hospital by Warwick Rescue, police said. Bellini was listed in critical condition and Morse was stable Wednesday night, police said. Bellini was wearing a helmet when the accident occurred.

    Police say no charges are pending and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
