“I know it’s on you, bro. That sucks. You shouldn’t feel that bad,” Travis said of the interaction that took place outside Beaver Stadium in State College, Pennsylvania, before Jason’s appearance on ESPN college game day during the Penn State-Ohio State game.

Travis said he believes the people “who spread the videos” of the incident created a “bigger situation than I think it really is.”

“The real situation is that a fucking clown came up to you and talked to you about your family and you reacted in a way that defended your family, and you may have used some words that you regret.” “said the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

“That’s a situation that you have to learn from and take ownership of. I think owning it and talking about it shows how sincere you are with a lot of people in this world,” Travis continued. “You don’t choose hate, that’s just not who you are.”

The NFL star put an end to his feelings by telling his older brother, “I love you,” adding, “I think you said it perfectly.”

Travis’ comments came after Jason, who first addressed the incident on the Nov. 4 edition of ESPN Monday night countdownHe said on the podcast that he was “not happy with the situation” and that his reaction “gave notoriety to the situation.”

The former football center said that “what I regret the most is saying that word to be honest with you… the word he used is just fucking ridiculous and takes it to another level. It’s just out of line.” the wall, fucking over the line.”

Penn State police confirmed to PEOPLE on Monday, Nov. 5 that the altercation is under investigation. At the time of the incident, PEOPLE reached out to representatives for Jason and ESPN, but did not immediately receive a response.
