The prosecution, which raided seven locations the day before yesterday (5), believes that Kakao Mobility manipulated the algorithm so that affiliated taxis could anticipate passenger calls.

We are also investigating allegations of “call blocking” that prevents competitors from receiving general calls.

The Fair Trade Commission, which first investigated the related case, imposed fines of 27 billion won and 72 billion won on Kakao Mobility on charges of “boosting calls” and “blocking calls,” respectively.
