Indianapolis Colts injury report shows two starters OUT of practice and star returns

He Indianapolis Colts‘ Wednesday’s injury report was released, showing good and bad news early in preparation for the buffalo bills (7-2).

The three names that immediately come up are wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (back/finger), linebacker Zaire Franklin (ankle), offensive tackle Bernhard Raimann (concussion). Pittman and Franklin didn’t practice Wednesday, which is concerning, but doesn’t rule either man out of the Week 10 battle with the Bills so early in the week. Those two will be the names to watch as practice unfolds in the coming days. Pittman specifically has disappointed this year, catching just 30 passes for 366 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns in 9 games. His poor season can easily be attributed to his ongoing back injury, which leaves Pittman likely between 60% and 70% when he’s on the field until he’s healthy.

As for offensive tackle Raimann, it’s a great sign that he’s on the field practicing after missing week nine against the Minnesota Vikings with a self-reported concussion. By Focus on professional football Raimann has blocking grades of 81.9 overall, 84.3 passing and 73.0 rushing, making his potential return important for Indianapolis.

The Colts will need every star and contributor possible Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium against a tough Bills team led by Josh Allen. If the Colts can pull off an upset at home, it could help Shane Steichen and Joe Skinny regain momentum reaching the .500 mark once again. We’ll see what happens on the practice field at Westfield as the showdown with the Bills approaches.
