Following today’s meeting with Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two, there have been a number of updates regarding the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto VI game.

A statement said: “With many exciting new titles arriving in fiscal 2026, including GTA 6 in the fall, Borderlands 4 and Mafia: The Old Country, we look forward to creating long-term value for our shareholders.”

Fiscal year 2026 refers to the financial year that begins in April 2025 and ends in March 2026.

It looks like the game is on track to have a similar release date to its predecessor, which came out on September 17, 2013.

It’s the first major update to the game since the trailer was released, which was said to have been rushed after gameplay footage leaked on social media in the days before.
