Lancaster County man arrested for alleged sex crimes with a minor

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County man was arrested for allegedly committing sexual crimes against a minor.

According to the New Holland Police Department, authorities launched an investigation into alleged sexual crimes involving a 19-year-old man and a 14-year-old minor. Police say the investigation revealed that Christopher Joseph Ratcliff, 19, allegedly had a relationship with the 14-year-old boy despite knowing the victim was a minor.

According to police, the incidents occurred in the New Holland district between May 2024 and July 2024. State Police arrested Ratcliff without incident on the following charges:

  • IDSI person under 16 years of age (f1)

  • Legal sexual assault: 4-8 years older (f2)

  • Illegal contact with minors – sexual crimes (f1)

  • Corruption of minors – accused 18 years old (f3)

  • Indecent exposure (m1)

  • Indecent assault on a person under 16 years of age (m2)

On November 6, Ratcliff was arraigned and held on $250,000 bail. Ratcliff remains in the Lancaster County Jail awaiting future court appearances, according to police.
