BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (WBRC) – A 59-year-old man from Indonesia died in a crash on November 1 in west Birmingham.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Makhturmino. It does not have a common surname in Indonesia.

The accident occurred in the 1500 block of Bankhead Highway.

Makhturmino was the driver and the only person in his vehicle involved in the two-vehicle accident. Authorities said Makhturmino’s vehicle crossed into the opposite lane and crashed into another vehicle.

Birmingham police are investigating the accident.
