Man denies causing girl’s death in Much Wenlock by crashing into tree

A man has pleaded not guilty to causing death by dangerous driving after a 17-year-old girl died when a car crashed into a tree.

The vehicle left the road and crashed on November 28 on the B4376 near Much Wenlock, Shropshire, West Mercia Police said.

Madison Evans, who was traveling in the car, was found in critical condition and died at the scene.

Sean Cox, 21, of Severn Way, Shrewsbury, pleaded guilty at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Tuesday and was released on bail. His trial was scheduled for November 10, 2025.
