A man admitted killing a 23-year-old man on Christmas Eve last year.

Dylan Thomas, 24, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on Wednesday via video link from Ashworth High Secure Hospital.

He pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denied murder. Gregory Bull KC, prosecuting, said the plea was not acceptable to the Crown and Mr Thomas will now stand trial for murder on November 12.
