Meredith Gaudreau Posts Favorite ‘Johnny Hockey’ Snaps of Her Late Husband

Meredith Gaudreau remembers her late husband’s many talents Johnny Gaudreau.

On Tuesday, November 5, Meredith reposted several photos originally shared by fans and loved ones who had uploaded their “favorite Johnny hockey photo” to social media. Select a handful of posts to share through yours Instagram StoriesMeredith painted a moving tribute to the ice hockey player, who died tragically on August 29 at the age of 31.

Meredith started off with her favorite photo, posting a snap of Johnny holding the couple’s daughter, Noa, when the girl was a newborn. “This bond between father and daughter,” said Meredith, who is pregnant with the third child of the couplehe captioned the photo. Johnny is seen looking at his daughter with a soft smile on his face.

Other photos in Meredith’s edit included another snap of Johnny pressing his cheek against a smiling baby, Noa, Johnny posing with two little girls (originally posted by Johnny’s sister). Kristen Gaudreau), Johnny competing on the hockey rink, Meredith meeting some of Johnny’s family for the first time, and a video of Johnny doing Noa’s hair.

Johnny, who played for the Columbus Blue Jackets and a total of 11 seasons in the National Hockey League, and his brother Matthew Gaudreauan emerging hockey coach after playing professionally for five years, were hit and killed by an alleged drunk driver while riding bicycles together in August.

Meredith announced during an emotional eulogy for her late husband on Sept. 9 that she was “ninth week pregnant” with the couple’s third child. “Noa, the oldest, hasn’t even turned two yet,” Meredith said at the time. “In less than three years of marriage, we have created a family of five people. It doesn’t even seem possible. But I see it as the ultimate blessing. How lucky am I to be a mother to John’s three babies? The last one was a blessing and very special, despite these difficult circumstances.”

Madeline Gaudreauwife of the late Matthew, is also pregnant with the couple’s first child.

Just a week ago, Meredith and the extended Columbus Blue Jackets community gathered to celebrate Johnny with the couple’s two children. (Meredith is also mother to her 8-month-old son Johnny, whom she shared with her late husband.)

Meredith shared sweet memories of the celebration through Instagram, publishing a carousel of images once it is over. “Thank you to all of our baby hockey uncles and aunts for keeping us so close to this community and including Noa and Johnny in everything. “John looks down with so much pride and I know he is so grateful that you all took care of me like you have,” he captioned the post. “The entire organization. I feel at home when I’m around all of you. “I can’t thank you enough from the bottom of my broken heart.”

Following the tragic death of Johnny Gaudreau, his wife Meredith Gaudreau praised the late hockey player’s skills as a father. “The best father in the world. He then turned his attention to Johnny’s admirers. “Thank you to all the fans for your love for John. Everywhere. “I have saved all of the posts and hold them dearly to show our children,” Meredith continued in the post. “Noa asks for “more hockey from dad” every night before going to bed. I love so much and am so grateful to be able to watch so many of John’s videos, hear his voice in interviews, and adore his perfect smile in everyone’s posts and tributes. I pray they never stop. “It means more to me than I can express.”

Meredith concluded her post with words directed to her late husband, revealing her continued love for him. “Thank you for giving me our hockey family, our children and a life as beautiful as your wife’s. You are and will always be my everything. “I love you very much,” he wrote. “The best dad ever. The best husband. You set the bar high (hockey and home hockey) and we all strive to be like you every day. Thanks for that. I will love you forever, my Reggies.”
