A warning has been issued to Manx residents after risks were identified in some internet routers, leaving users vulnerable to hackers.

It follows the publication of a report last month that identified 14 new vulnerabilities in some made by DrayTek.

The Isle of Man Cyber ​​Security Center has advised those who own or use routers to ensure updates have been made and security patches applied.

About 440 of the devices are currently in use on the island and hackers can access sensitive information on the affected devices, he said.
