NEW ENGLAND, N.D. (KFYR) – A 58-year-old woman from New England, North Dakota, was killed and a 76-year-old Amidon man was seriously injured in a crash Tuesday around 9:15 a.m.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said the woman was driving a pickup truck southbound on Highway 22, while the man was driving a pickup truck northbound.

Authorities say the woman lost control on a bridge outside New England due to icy conditions, crossed the center line and hit the pickup truck head-on.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken by ambulance to a Dickinson hospital.

The woman was not wearing a seat belt, while the man was, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The accident remains under investigation.
