Westchester County voters are closely watching the outcome of the 16th Congressional District race.

That district covers lower Westchester County and a portion of the Bronx.

Democratic County Executive George Latimer will face his Republican challenger, Dr. Miriam Levitt Flisser.

Latimer secured the Democratic nominee’s seat after a fierce primary against Rep. Jamaal Bowman.

Levitt Flisser previously ran for this seat as the Republican candidate against Bowman in 2022 and lost. His platform includes stricter vetting of incoming immigrants and encouraging American jobs.

Latimer has focused on protecting reproductive freedoms and investing in infrastructure.
