Second lawsuit filed against Elon Musk’s $1 million gift

Registered voters who signed a petition supporting Elon Musk’s Constitution filed a class action lawsuit on tuesdayclaim that a gift to petition signers was a fraud.

Arizona resident Jacqueline McAferty filed the lawsuit in federal court in Austin, Texas. according to Reuters. Musk and his America PAC organization are named in the lawsuit, which accuses them of falsely inciting voters to sign the petition in the belief that winners would be selected at random. The lawsuit claims the winners were predetermined.

McAfterty also claims that the defendants benefited from the petition because it drove traffic to Musk’s social media platform, X, and provided them with personal information that could be sold.

His lawsuit comes a day after a Philadelphia judge ruled that the $1 million drawing can continue until Election Day, after lawyers for Musk’s political action committee said the results of the drawing were not “random” as Musk had announced.

Musk launched last month’s daily drawing, which was organized to give $1 million to a swing state voter every day until the election, if they signed a petition in support of the First and Second Amendments of the United States Constitution.
