    U.S. Capitol Police on Tuesday arrested a man in the visitor center who smelled like gasoline and was carrying a torch and flare gun, police said in a statement.

    The Capitol Visitor Center was closed while they investigated, the US Capitol Police said.

    Tuesday, November 5, is Election Day in the United States.
