SPRING HILL, Fla. – A man died after crashing his truck into a Hernando County home during a medical episode, Florida The Highway Patrol said.

It happened around 6:45 pm on Monday, according to police.

FHP said the 69-year-old driver lost control of the pickup truck along Arrowhead Avenue in Spring Hill, crashing into a street sign and a fence before crashing into a home on Greenleaf Lane.

The man, whose name was not released, later died. His passenger, 68, was not injured.

No one inside the home was injured, the FHP said, but the home suffered about $10,000 in damage.
