Arsenal have received a major injury boost ahead of their games against Inter Milan and Chelsea as captain Martin Odegaard has returned to training after a two-month break.

However, England international midfielder Declan Rice was not seen training this morning, with Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth claiming he could be doing his own individual training.

The Arsenal star played 90 minutes in the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Saturday and more information will emerge in the coming hours to clear things up.

Having Odegaard back is a much-needed boost for the Gunners ahead of next weekend’s international break, and manager Mikel Arteta will be desperate to have him on the pitch against Inter and Chelsea.

Arsenal have done well in the Champions League so far, with two wins and a draw in their first three group stage games.

However, they are winless in their last three Premier League games, losing to Bournemouth and the Magpies, and cannot afford to drop any more points when they face the Blues at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
