Coronation Street airs The tense scenes of Clayton Hibbs’ return next week.

Callum Harrison has reprized his role as Shona Platt’s dangerous son, who will appear in more prison scenes.

This week’s episodes see Shona’s husband David fidgeting by emails from jail regarding Clayton.

David decides not to tell Shona about the messages and then goes one step further by deleting them before she can read them.

Next week, David decides to confide in his brother Nick Tilsley about the worrying situation and explains that Clayton has sent a visitation order to the prison. Once again, David feels torn between his hatred of Clayton and his loyalty to Shona.

Nick suggests that it is best for David to tell Shona the truth, as she will surely find out what will happen in the long run.

Still determined to do things his way, David hatches a plan and visits Clayton in prison, but will he tell Shona what he’s doing?

Later in the week, David feels even more stressed when he returns home to find Shona in bad shape.

Shona angrily explains that Clayton has been admitted to the hospital, but what has happened in prison to cause this?

Clayton’s character has appeared on and off since 2016, when killed David’s first wife, Kylie in a stabbing in the street.

He was last seen on the show in 2020.

Coronation Street airs scenes from Clayton’s return on Monday 11 November on ITV1 and ITVX.
