Dell’s incredible Alienware AW3225QF is down from £800 with a code

Discounts on Alienware’s latest generation of QD-OLED monitors have been few and far between so far since their launch, although today I saw a really powerful deal with the combination of an overall reduction and the AFF5MON discount code. With those two deals taking this panel under the elusive £800 mark, which is the best price we’ve seen on such a capable display in the UK.

The other big advantage of this discount, aside from its mere existence, is the fact that there are no skips or codes to enter. The monitor is priced at that Dell price with the use of a free code for everyone. Previously, discounts were available through student discount services, workplace discounts or through Dell’s Advantage scheme. It looks like you can stack them with this code to make this panel even cheaper, although of course your mileage may vary.

The fact is that the AW3225QF is a brilliant monitor that packs all the desirable high-end specs you could dream of in a gaming monitor in 2024. Being 4K means it will offer incredible detail, while a 240Hz refresh rate offers an immensely smooth movement. Oh, and this is also a QD-OLED panel. This has been seen before on some of Alienware’s monitors and combines the wonderful contrast of an OLED with the brightness of a QLED in one powerful panel, but the experience is even better with this panel as one of the third generation QD-OLEDs from Samsung. options. It also comes with a slight 1700R curve to increase that immersion factor. The AW3225QF certainly has it all, as we noted in our review.

VRR support is also present with G-Sync and VESA Adaptive Sync, while the AW3225QF also offers up to 1000 nits of brightness, thanks to that QD-OLED panel. So it’s perhaps not surprising that this monitor also supports Dolby Vision to accentuate detail in darker areas and brighten things up even more. This monitor also offers up to 99% DCI-P3 coverage, which means especially accurate colors.

You also get Alienware’s classic space-age futuristic design to stand out from the crowd, as well as a decent port selection with a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports and a DP 1.4 as well. One of those HDMI 2.1 ports also has an eARC for connecting a sound bar and also supports Dolby Atmos signal pass-through. You also get a selection of USB ports, with two downstream USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, as well as one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-B.

Alienware’s AW3225QF is a monitor that certainly has it all, and getting it for less without any jump from Dell in the UK is wonderful.
