A main route into a Cornish town and a neighboring road will be closed for seven weeks while work is carried out on a wall.

Cornwall Council said work to stabilize a wall off Polperro Road in West Looe would begin on Monday and continue until December 20.

The council said the work had to be completed after a landslide on the road earlier this year and the closure would also affect North Road during the same time period.

A detour has been created around the closures and school buses will continue to have access to the route at certain times of the day, the council added.
