BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (WBRC) – Birmingham Max Transit announced this week that it will offer free bus service for Election Day, this Tuesday, November 5.

Officials say the service will provide transportation to passengers throughout the day on fixed-route buses, Magic City Connecter and Birmingham Xpress (BRT), where passengers will be able to get to their designated polling locations without paying a fare.

“We believe that access to transportation should never be a barrier to exercising the right to vote,” said Amanda Hare. “By offering free rides on Election Day, we hope to make it easier for members of our community to make their voices heard.”

Election Day transportation service includes paratransit but excludes MAX On-Demand.
