One person was taken to hospital with serious injuries Sunday morning in a rollover crash near Woodstock, Ont. which caused a traffic jam along the highway. 401 per hour.

The single-vehicle crash occurred around 7 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the freeway between Sweaburg Road and Dodge Line.

A photo posted on social media by the OPP shows an overturned tractor-trailer being pulled from the highway’s north ditch by two heavy-duty cranes.

Details about the incident were limited and the OPP did not respond to a request for comment on Sunday.

The driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital for serious injuries, police said shortly before 8 a.m. His current status is unclear.

The collision caused significant delays in the westbound lanes of the highway until late afternoon.
