A 25-year-old man died following a stabbing in Suva on Saturday night.

Police say the 24-year-old suspect and the victim are alleged to have had a dispute prior to the incident.

The victim was rushed to Colonial War Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted and later died.

The suspect is in police custody as the investigation continues.

The autopsy of the victim will be performed today.
