Israel kills another Hezbollah commander in retaliation strikes: IDF

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claim to have killed another Hezbollah commander responsible for recent attacks in Northern Israel.

The IDF said on Sunday morning that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) targeted and killed terrorist Farouk Amin Alasi, the Hezbollah commander in the Khiam area.

Alasi was responsible for carrying out many anti-tank missile and rocket attacks against Israeli communities in the Galilee Panhandle, and especially in Metula.

Friday’s attack by Israel followed a deadly attack Thursday by Hezbollah forces in northern Israel.

The first attack was in Metula – a city along the border between Israel and Lebanon – which left an Israeli farmer and four foreign farm workers dead. A second reported attack by Hezbollah left two dead near Haifa.
