And the result was a resounding “The Doctor.”

More than 80 percent of fans considered the actor’s portrayal of Doctor Who’s main protagonist to be his best work to date – a landslide victory for Whovians.

That’s right: more than 1,000 fans selected the Eleventh Doctor as their favorite of his performances.

In second place was his role as Daemon Targaryen in the Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon, with The Crown’s Prince Philip in third place.

Smith’s performances in Morbius, Charlie Says and Last Night in Soho barely garnered any love from fans, with Doctor Who fans dominated the voting.

The Doctor Who star replaced David Tennant as the Doctor, commanding the TARDIS from season 5 in 2010 until his regeneration into Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor after four seasons in 2014.
