A classic Midwest showdown returns when the vikings welcome the foals in Week 9 of the NFL season.

Set for Minneapolis, the home team could use a win. Minnesota (5-2) had a perfect start to the season, winning five games in a row, before losing two close games to the Lions and Rams.

The good thing is that TJ Hockenson is ready to make his season debut. While it hasn’t necessarily been Minnesota’s offense that has struggled, the tight end’s return is certainly something that should give Vikings fans hope.

Meanwhile, the Colts will make some changes of their own. After 10 career starts, Anthony Richardson was benched and Indianapolis will go with veteran Joe Flacco at quarterback. Who better to lead the 4-4 Colts into a postseason than the reigning Comeback Player of the Year?

In four appearances this season, he has thrown seven touchdowns and one interception. The Colts only won two of those games, showing that they are capable of doing it, but they have yet to find the stability to overcome those difficult situations. Maybe the horseshoe will appear again this week.
