In light of the 2023 Sunday Times report, in which four women came forward and accused Russell Brand of sexual assault, rape and emotional abuseLondon’s Metropolitan Police have asked the Crown Prosecution Service to consider charging the actor over the allegations.

Detectives investigating the allegations revealed Saturday that they had interviewed “a man in his 40s” on “three separate occasions” in connection with the case and presented the evidence file to prosecutors. according to The Guardian.

A representative for Brand did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The four women who accused Brand in the exposé claimed each incident took place between 2006 and 2013.

One of the anonymous accusers, who was identified in the report only as Nadia, claimed that Brand raped her “against a wall” in his Los Angeles home in 2012, when she was in her thirties.

“He is much taller than me. And he has that glassy look in his eyes again. And I can’t move. And I said, ‘Get off, get off,'” he said, adding that the “Get Him to the Greek” star, who was married to katy perry from 2010 to 2012, he allegedly did not use a condom for the act.

Nadia reported her injuries to a rape center the next day. Medical records were able to confirm his claims, according to the outlet.

Another accuser alleged that she was a minor and only 16 years old when she said Brand assaulted her. She told the outlet that Brand referred to her as “the girl” during their relationship.

At the time of their interaction, Brand was 31 years old. He claimed the “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” star was “emotionally abusive and controlling” during their three-month relationship when he was working as a BBC presenter.

Brand vehemently denied the accusations of abuse filed against him before the report’s publication, saying his “promiscuous” activities were “always consensual.”

“I have received two extremely disturbing letters, or a letter and an email, one from a major television outlet and one from a newspaper, listing a litany of egregious and aggressive attacks,” he said. “Amidst this litany of surprising and rather baroque attacks, there are some very serious accusations that I absolutely refute.”

“When I was in movies, and as I’ve written extensively in my books, I was very, very promiscuous,” Brand continued.

“During that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual.”
