CLACKAMAS COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) – One man was killed and three other people were injured after a head-on crash in Clackamas County on Friday, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 5 p.m., officers responded to the 15000 block of South Springwater Road, south of the Carver area. They found a crashed 2012 Dodge Ram pickup truck and a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser.

The driver of the PT Cruiser, identified as 22-year-old Ryan Edward Bloomster of Estacada, died in the crash. A 22-year-old woman who was a passenger in the PT Cruiser suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital.

The Dodge was driven by a 51-year-old Happy Valley man and had a 12-year-old passenger. Both the driver of the Dodge and his passenger were also taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

After an initial investigation, troopers said they believe the crash occurred when the driver of the PT Cruiser, Bloomster, failed to negotiate a curve.

Detectives are still working to determine if speed or impairment were a factor, deputies said.
