‘Unprovoked’ stabbing on BART train: police

BART Train Stabbing Suspect

A woman has been seriously injured after an “unprovoked” stabbing in a Antioch-tied bart train Saturday morning, police said.

The 54-year-old woman was stabbed around 8:10 a.m. on the eastbound train as it approached the 24th and Mission Street Stationaccording to BART police. She disembarked from the train and was assisted by an employee until BART officers arrived.

bart police He said the woman was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and they temporarily closed the 24th and Mission Street station to collect evidence.

They described the suspect as a man who was about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed approximately 160 pounds.

According to authorities, her black hair is braided into a bun on top of her head.

He has a mustache and was last seen wearing a plain black jacket with orange lining, a black shirt with a large white logo, gray and black cargo pants, black and brown boots, and was carrying a black duffel bag.
