Motorcycle driver seriously injured after rear-end collision on Missouri highway

KNOB NOSTER, Mo. (KCTV) – A motorcycle rider was seriously injured after a rear-end collision on a highway east of Knob Noster over the weekend.

He Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that around 9:45 pm on Friday, November 1, emergency crews were called to the area of ​​US 50 and Route D, east of Knob Noster, with reports of a 2-vehicle collision.

When first responders arrived, they said they found a 56-year-old Warrensburg man was riding his 2025 Harley Davidson motorcycle east on the highway when he rear-ended a 2016 Ford Escape driven by a 77-year-old Sedalia man.

State police took the driver of the motorcycle Research Hospital in Kansas City with life-threatening injuries. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Law enforcement officials noted that the Sedalia man escaped the crash unharmed. At that time he was wearing his seat belt. No further information has been released.
