SAN FRANCISCO – A man was hit with a gun during a robbery at his home in San Francisco Ocean View Neighborhood Early Friday morning, police said.

The robbery was reported at 1:42 a.m. in the area of ​​Plymouth Avenue and Farallones Street. Three male suspects broke through the front door of the property and knocked on the door of the home, and when the 58-year-old victim opened the door, he was struck in the head with a firearm as the suspects ran inside, according to San Francisco Police .

The suspects stole a safe and cash from the home before fleeing in a pickup truck and remained at large as of later Friday. Police did not immediately provide descriptions of the suspects.

The victim was injured in the attack, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
