AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – 45-year-old Scott Jacobson of Akron was sentenced to life in prison without parole for raping two children in his care, according to Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich.

Jacobson pleaded guilty to several charges on August 15, 2024.

• Two counts of rape with sexually violent predator specifications: first-degree felonies

• 10 counts of pandering in matters of sexual orientation involving a minor: second-degree felonies

• Two counts of gross sexual imposition – third degree felonies

Jacobson was designated a Level III sex offender; If Jacobson ever gets out of prison, he would have to check in with the local sheriff every 90 days for the rest of his life.

Jacobson admitted to raping two children and possessing child pornography.

Co-defendant Kristina Jacobson faces the following charges:

• rape – first degree felony

• two counts of unlawful use of a minor or disabled person in nudity-oriented material or performance: a second-degree felony

• Gross sexual imposition: a third degree felony

Jacobson has a status hearing scheduled for December 18.
