How ‘General Hospital’ Ditched Kelly Monaco’s Character in Final Episode

“General Hospital” Fans Mourn Sam McCall – Spoiler alerts ahead!

Kelly Monaco’s final episode as the iconic character ended on Friday, November 1, after McCall donated his liver to Lulu Spencer. Now we know what happened to make that decision fatal.

The actress who plays Alexis spoke about leaving Monaco before the final episode aired and revealed that saying goodbye was just as difficult in real life.

“As difficult as it may be for #gh viewers to watch today’s and upcoming episodes, it was equally difficult for me and my housemates to play. Playing Kelly Monaco’s mother was effortless and the love is real,” Grahn. wrote via X on Thursday.
