Ameenpur residents meet Hydraa chief, demand compensation to illegal vendors

Hyderabad: Residents of Ameenpur, whose houses were demolished by HYDRAA on September 22, met agency commissioner AV Ranganath here on Friday. They complained that some people had sold them properties in Survey No. 12, which is government land, showing documents from Survey No. 6, which is private property.

They called Madhava Reddy, Chandrashekar and Koteeswara Rao and urged Ranganath to give them compensation after collecting amounts from all those who had illegally sold them plots on government land.

Ranganath said HYDRAA would undertake a thorough survey and ensure that the victims were duly compensated.

The complainants also pointed out that the gates of Ameenpur pedda cheruvu remained closed and water from the pond had entered through the top.

They said the water should go to Lake Bandikunta, but with the gates closed, the water runs from the top of the pond and enters their houses.

Residents of Venkataramana Colony complained that a real estate company had encroached on a park and its roads in the HUDA-permitted layout of Survey No. 153. They asked the commissioner to take steps to protect the park and roads on the layout. .
