Here are the full results from the Sprint qualifying session ahead of Saturday’s action at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

SQ1:

Norris kicked off the Sprint Qualifying by finishing with the fastest time in SQ1, with the title contender clocking a 1:09.477 to go significantly faster than his McLaren teammate Piastri.

Their lead of eight tenths of a second came when all drivers used the medium compound, as required, during the first part of the session, which took place under gloomy skies at the Interlagos circuit.

With a McLaren 1-2 in front, Albon was third for Williams, ahead of Leclerc, Pérez and Verstappen.

Both Aston Martins were eliminated in a disappointing session for the Silverstone team. Fernando Alonso was 16th, 1.5 seconds off the lead, with Lance Stroll in 19th and another three tenths of a second behind.

Eliminated with the Astons were Alpine’s Esteban Ocon in 17th place, VCARB’s Yuki Tsunoda in 18th place and Sauber’s Zhou Guanyu in 20th place.

Tsunoda’s elimination comes as the Japanese driver attempts to recover from a poor weekend in Mexico, with new teammate Lawson enjoying the advantage in terms of recent results.
