HYDERABAD: Many residents engaged in unsafe cracker bursting practices while celebrating Diwali. People holding lit rockets in their hands, bursting crackers from moving vehicles and throwing them at passers-by was a common sight during grand celebrations.

Many people were seen holding rocket boxes in their hands, while the box fired rockets, and some of them were engaging in activities so dangerous to social media content and reels.

A video went viral on X, where people in a moving car were throwing cookies through the open top of the vehicle. Some cookies hit the trees, while others even hit the car.

Another video of young people holding cookies and directing them towards the street instead of towards the sky was widely shared on Instagram. A man was seen holding the cookies and pointing them at his friends, as they continued to flee. In the comments, several people criticized the owner of the cookies for his negligent behavior.

People also threw lit crackers at those passing by. A redditor shared that some boys, while riding a bike, threw a firecracker at his sister while she was standing at a bus stop. Responding to the post, another redditor said that some people, while triple riding on a scooter, threw red chili bombs at the children.

These risky practices were not limited to the general public; Even political figures performed dangerous feats during their celebrations.

BRS leader Patlolla Karthik Reddy uploaded a video on his social media, where he and his friends were seen launching rockets with their hands.

Saroornagar BJP corporator Akula Srivani did the same.

A user, who responded in the businesswoman’s video, urged her not to throw cookies at other people’s houses, to which the public representative responded “Thank you.”
