“Man, that was a tough play.” Gardner said. “That was good defense. Cornerback DJ Reed went there during an interview with SNY while Wilson was nearby.

“Oh my God,” Ulbrich said. “I mean, I was talking to the referee when they were reviewing it and I said, ‘Just for the sake of posterity you have to say that that’s in history so it goes down in history.’ I mean it would rival the capture of Odell (Beckham Jr.). “It was incredible.”

Wide receiver Davante Adams, who was being evaluated for a concussion as the play unfolded, was ready to get Wilson a new shoe deal.

“I told him they might kick him out of Adidas after that.” he said. “That one looked like he was headed to Jumpman with me, so we’ll see. I’m going to talk to some people about that, but it’s possible that… I won’t say they’ll replace the logo because I know Mike (Michael Jordan) might not like me saying that. But it was a tough catch and I actually saw it about three minutes ago.”

Wilson recalled watching Beckham’s game in his living room in Texas as a child. He said his father was a Cowboys fan and wasn’t happy after that catch. He was typically humble after the game and said he was happy to be able to do something to help his team win.

Adams, a veteran who has made big catches like that, seemed to understand the moment.

“To be able to do that in front of 80,000 and maybe millions of viewers at home is special,” he said.
