Police have arrested a man investigating the murder of a woman in Glasgow city centre.

Sandie Butler, 40, was found seriously injured in St Mungo Avenue on Tuesday around 12.55pm and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Detectives launched a murder investigation following a post-mortem examination.

Police Scotland said a 53-year-old man had been arrested over the death. The consultations continue.
