A man raped a girl after drugging her and recorded an obscene video of the incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi district. Later, he blackmailed the girl and extorted Rs 5 lakh from the girl’s family.

At first, the family chose to remain silent for fear of public embarrassment. However, when the girl got married, the accused again blackmailed the family. The family claimed that this time the accused demanded Rs 5 lakh in cash and gold jewelery from them.

He even threatened to upload the girl’s obscene video to the Internet and ensure that it would go viral if his demands were not met. When the family did not comply with his demand, he shared the video with the woman’s husband and some of her relatives on WhatsApp. As a result, the woman’s relationship with her husband broke down.

After the obscene video showing the girl was uploaded, the victim and her brother sought help from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and demanded strict action against the perpetrator. The accused has been identified as Farukh.

The incident, which occurred within the jurisdiction of Kadadham police station in Kaushambi district, prompted a response from local authorities after a video of the victim’s complaint surfaced.

“We are aware of the matter related to the spread of an obscene video showing a young woman in Kadadham police station area,” said Kaushambi additional superintendent of police Rajesh Kumar Singh.

“The victim’s family will be contacted and a case will be registered based on their complaint. Every aspect of the case will be thoroughly investigated. “Following investigation, the accused will be arrested and necessary action will be taken,” he added.
