The duo appeared briefly in the Pretoria High Court on Friday morning.

The former minister was implicated in a R1.6-million corruption case and accused of accepting bribes in return for his influence on government IT tenders.

Kodwa says he is ready to get back to work now that he has been acquitted of corruption charges.

“I’m in the job market. I’m available. I can be a journalist because you know I’m unemployed,” he said.

He has been speaking to the media outside the courthouse.

“I am really grateful to be able to speak to you as a free man. My first responsibility now is to ensure that I align myself with the activities of the ANC.”
