MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office said a man was arrested after stealing copper wire from a home.

According to the sheriff’s office, a detective was notified that a suspect had been caught breaking into a home on Jacktown Road.

Deputies said the suspect, Jeffrey Scott Livingston, 55, had previously been interviewed about a previous burglary at the same home, where copper wires were stolen.

An investigation revealed that additional copper wires were removed during the October 15 incident, along with significant property damage.

Livingston was held without bail on one count of felony breaking and entering and/or one count of grand larceny after one count of breaking and entering.
